You see, those are just the coolest little plants on the planet! I love them. I love watching the itty bitty little round, green balls turn into larger green balls, and I really love watching the larger green balls turn yellow. So much so that I have to restrain myself from buying more dwarf lemon trees since they absolutely do not fit in my budget.
Every time I see lemon plants online I go crazy. I could (and do) literally spend hours on websites about citrus trees. I’ve had mine as both house plants and outdoor plants and mine seem to do better outdoors, although this will be the 1st year I intentionally leave them outside over the cold, SC winter. I hope they (more than 2, remember?) do well outside. I’m a little nervous, especially since because they are container plants, so they don’t have any in-ground insulation to keep them warm this winter.
But, what I do have is about 8 or 9 lemons in the midst of turning yellow so I can pull them off the tree and make some delicious lemonade. That’ll keep me and the girls happy to have lemonade from our own plants in the next few weeks. I’m excited!
