During back to school season, children are likely to be exposed to unfamiliar germs. Help protect your family from getting sick by using essential oils around the house.
Add eucalyptus oil to your hand-washing soap. It will add extra immunity protection in addition to making your soap smell good.
I also add rosemary oil to my shampoo. It helps to protect against head lice.
Add lemon oil to the spray you use in the kitchen, and also in your dish water.
Add lavender to a cloth and throw it in the dryer with your wet clothes. It will scent your bed linens.
You can also make a room spray by adding a citrus oil to a small spray bottle of water. Shake before each use, and spray in the center of the room, away from your eyes. Your room will smell delightful!
My favorite way to use essential oils is to add a few drops to a 1/2 cup of sugar. Tightly seal the container and keep it sealed for a few weeks. When you open it, you’ll be able to add flavored sugar to your tea or coffee or any other drink. I usually use peppermint, since it’s so delicious.
